Thank you very much Mikael. I guess I'll have to add that to my tool box 
if I'm going to use X3. I'm fairly clueless as to how spirit works under 
the hood. If there were a paper, 'Overview of how spirit works', I'd 
love to read it. All I ever find is usage text. I've dug through the 
source in the past, but easily get lost.
