I do not understand what you mean by "rather than a week's worth", but as
already said Kai contributed code to the buildpackage.sh, that checks if
generation of a new snapshot is required - it's in CVS.

An other thing is, that I had the idea of rewrite the
buildpackage-bash-scripts to PHP (CLI). Maybe this a task for some of you if
the bash scripts do not work with BSD? :)
