  - The information provided in the README.txt is rather brief.  For example,
    it does not explain how and when the individual .po files are merged, and
    how this interacts with the project infrastructure at http://drupal.org/.
  
    I think the README should also answer the following two 'workflow'-questions:
    (1) what are the steps involved to contribute a new translation and (2)
    how can I help maintain an existing translation.
  
  - We should probably setup a PHP book page that includes this README in the
    Drupal handbook.  Like that, we can maintain the documentation through CVS.
