D7 notifications module... status?

What's the state of the union re: notification modules for D7? Here's what
I could find so far:

*Notify - http://drupal.org/project/notify - abandoned, no stable D7 release
*Notifications - http://drupal.org/project/notifications - Seeking
maintainer, no stable D7 release (alpha), depends on Messaging Framework -
http://drupal.org/project/messaging - which is not active (no release for a
year)
*Subscriptions - http://drupal.org/project/subscriptions - somewhat active,
D7 beta

What are people using for D7?
