Remove Meta Tag Generator

Hi,
I noticed that by default this tag is written:
 <meta name="Generator" content="Drupal 7 (http://drupal.org)" />

I'm perplexed about that and I discover that someone else is sharing
my point of view: http://drupal.org/node/982034

Do you think it would be possibile to add an option in the admin panel
to switch off this feature?
