laravell test app -- running off sudbir

Hi

found a few test laravell apps that I'd like to test. Using test digital
ocean instance/ubuntu/apache.

I'm looking to configure the apps to run as a subdir, which most things say
laravel isn't set up for.

So, looking for anyone who's done this, or who might want a few extra $$.

The test apps are "supposed" to be complete/running apps, with the download
from github.

I can get the apps, sort of installed, but can't get beyond the front/base
page, which means the subdir/process isn't set correctly.
