continuing the trend to talk to myself here is another update of the 
situation. i have done some more tests and improved the example5 a bit 
and updated the installer. however example5 still needs more fixing.

the other examples seemed to work on casual inspection.

like i have said for a while now:
if you want this next release sooner than later test the cvs code with 
the examples, with your own installations and look at the new features 
in the changelog and test those too!
