Regarding the mailing list...

Hi folks,

just so you know, I got a new job. Why is this important to you? Well,
normally I'd say it's not. But then again, this mailing list is still
hosted on one of their servers, which obviously is no longer under my
control.

As the company has never been too fond of Linux anyway it is likely that
one fine day they will switch to an all Windows environment (all hail
Microsoft!) and rip out the old box.

This does not require any immediate action, as I don't see this coming
in the next few months. Regardless, I'd like to advise that we move the
list to some place else.

In case someone here has a good idea where we can host the list in the
future (preferrably cost-free, ad-free and on a long-term basis, so that
we don't have to fear another switch just a few months later), please
don't be silent :-)
