Just to offer a counterpoint, I rarely care about correspondance between line numbers in Smarty templates and the resulting PHP files. Yes, it would be convenient but there have only been very rare occasions where I had to dig into the generated PHP to understand a problem. Many Smarty issues are caught during the compile phase, and it will tell me the exact line in the template where the failure is. I very rarely have problems beyond that. Most of my Smarty work has been on a single application which is about 13.5K lines of .tpl files. -Bharat -- Smarty Development Mailing List (http://smarty.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
