mod_rewrite

ok so regular expressions are a "dark art" to me..

I'm working on a revamp of the smarty site..

is there a guru who can do the "preg" to rewrite

index.php?page=crashcourse
to
crashcourse.html

and

index.php?page=manual&lang=en&entry=installation.php#installation.requirements
to
manual/en/installation.html#installation.requirements

or something to that effect..

required for search engine optimization ;-)
