Hi,
are there currently any plans to simplify and extend Smartys support for
accessing objects? What I want to see is:
Function: {object.method}, {object.object.method foo=bar}
Block: {object.method} ... {/object.method}
Variable: {$object.property}
Array: {$object.property.key}
{$object.object.property.key.key}
This would keep the template syntax to a minimum and don't confusing
template authors with the additional "->" in the syntax. Template author
should not need to know whether he access an array or an object.
Currently, Smarty is IMHO not the perfect template engine for
programmers which storing all her data inside objects.
Any plans or are there limitations, that not allow this?
ThS.
