Re: [SMARTY] New Smarty Website

I did not want to offend anyone. From my experience I can just tell that
sometimes people want to rewrite sth that already works good and the
result is not what they had expected ;-)

Ok, now for the constructive part:
We are currently developing  a complete php5 and Smarty-driven framework
called OZONE. Although there is not much on our website

the framework is very advanced at the moment and will become alpha or
beta within a few weeks.

What is important at the moment that Smarty plays crucial role as the
main template engine. Anyway - look at the temporary webpage for the
specification - http://www.ozoneframework.org/
It has a LOT of problems solved - nested templates, layout templates
etc. as well as database connection (object-model layer, xml-defined),
form validation etc. It is heavily inspired by Apache Turbine framework
and is really usable - I have started rewriting my photography portal.
But it has a lot of innovation regarding the original framework - skin
support, multilingual content etc. And is much more straightforward in
design.

So - if you would be interested and would like to use OZONE as the base
of the new website - I am ready to help!  The nice thing is that adding
e.g. editable news with a nice interface - is veeery easy with ozone. It
  should be also easy to add per-page user comments to the documentation.

I have more or less free holiday just to play with my family and develop
OZONE. I would be more than happy to help with the new Smarty website!
e.g. I could write the server-side "logics" and other things too.

I am pretty sure working with OZONE would save you time - if you wanted
to write the whole website from scratch. Even if OZONE has bugs and is
not feature-complete - we can work on it and it will also contribute to
  the open-source software.
