When this system is all working, there will be no browser or web server associated with the smarty instance (it's run from a standalone PHP daemon process), though for my testing purposes and some simple cases, it is drivable from a web interface. Is there a facility for Smarty to output to a separate log file (I'll have a look anyway!)?
