RE: getting started - need pointers

Hi, Jacob: My name is Mai-lan and I run the engineering IIS team here at Microsoft. I also run the PHP on Windows effort at Microsoft, which means I have an engineering team that focuses on PHP support and great Interop on Windows. 

One thing that I wanted to ask:
1. Had you heard of/knew about the support that IIS has for PHP with the WS 2008 release (http://php.iis.net/)? If you have, I am curious to understand more about your decision path towards hosting both Apache and IIS for your ASP.NET and PHP apps -- that will help us better understand how we can be a better platform for PHP apps as well as ASP.NET apps.

That's partly why I run IIS on port 80, and the apache from WAMP on port 81, so they can run alongside each other.
