Cannot get a2ps to print landscape.

Sorry to bother you with this question.  I'm new at using a2ps so there
must be something I'm doing wrong.

I'm running version 4.13 on a SUN Solaris computer.  I'm trying to print
a file that is 132 columns wide, one page per sheet of paper without a
header.

I've tried both of these commands

 

a2ps -r -1 -l132 -B P.log

a2ps --landscape -1 -l132 -B P.log

 

Both give me portrait instead.

 

If I choose the option of -2 instead of -1, 2 pages are printed on one
sheet in landscape mode, but I only want one page per sheet.

 

Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong?  I just don't see it.
