Hello a2ps maintainers,

Is there an a2ps project page somewhere which contains web-readable
documentation?

https://savannah.gnu.org/projects/a2ps/ supposedly has a2ps docs but
actually doesn't.
A gnu.org webmaster suggested that I should contact [email protected] about
this. Please see email thread pasted below.
Thanks.

Hi,

I was looking for the purported "expert" documentation about a2ps, but
so far have found nothing except the man page.

The gnu web pagehttps://www.gnu.org/software/a2ps/ says
"More detailed web pages about GNU a2ps, including documentation,
flashes, updates, mailing lists, FAQ etc., is available at
https://savannah.gnu.org/projects/a2ps/."

However I don't see_any_ documentation about a2ps at that web site
(probably I'm not looking in the right place).
It contains a link back to the above-mentioned gnu page, and a download
directory, and pretty much nothing else (there's a lot of stuff not
related specifically to a2ps).

Would you mind updating the gnu web page to more specifically point
users to available documentation for a2ps?

Thanks very much,
-Jim Avera

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your bug report. Indeed, the complete manual for a2ps seems
to be missing, but webmasters can't do much about that. This is the
maintainers' responsibility. You should try to contact them at
<[email protected]>.

In the meantime, you can read the txt version of the manual with "info
a2ps" if a2ps is completely installed.

I was able to generate HTML and PDF versions from the texinfo source,
but had to replace several things like $pack{}, $Tex{}, $Copyright{},
etc., with likely values (resp. a2ps, Tex, (C), etc.) As expected for a
10-yr-old document, some of the links are dead. These files are too big
to be attached here, but I can send them to your personal address if you
wish.

Best regards,
Therese
