DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. INSTEAD, POST ANY RESPONSES TO THE LINK BELOW. [STR Closed w/Resolution] I'm wondering if this may be related to a problem we see on MacOSX 10.7 (running cups 1.5.2)... For complex reasons some of our Macs are on a bit of network where they cannot see printer adverts (and we don't yet support dnssd/zeroconf/bonjour) so they are configured to use browsepoll to the relevant cups server. That had been working perfectly, but since whichever update included cups 1.5.2 there is a problem. After a Mac has been sleeping all the printers are missing when it wakes up. Using ktruss on cups-polld shows that it is in a loop logging errors every minute but it never tries to contact the server. Currently we have told the users to kill cupsd which causes launchd to start a new one with a new cups-polld and the printers re-appear but it isn't ideal...
