This is about a setup when parallel port printers are connected via a usb
port via a converter.
Although cups detects the presence of the printer, it does not set it up
correctly (interferes with usblp?).
Oddly, it might print one job fine, but stalls after that.

(that one is on arch linux, I use Fedora 16)

The important thing is to set:
DeviceURI parallel:/dev/usb/lp0
