[cups-devel] Parallel processing of jobs for one print queue

Hi,

I´m still working on a cloud based printing architecture. This will
include a bunch of print servers with one print queue to which
documents are sent from several users. This "virtual" print queue

-converts the incoming data to PDF
-passes that data to a custom backend which saves it at a certain
location in the filesystem

At this point, the print queue processes jobs sequentially which can
lead to high waiting times. However, this type queue should be
processing jobs in parallel to reduce waiting times and make use of
all CPUs.

Is this possible already?
