Hi,

The "print-quality" option provides control over the printed quality.  A value of "3" corresponds to draft quality, "4" is normal, and "5" is high/best quality.  When the printer driver you are using does not provide a draft print quality option, CUPS tries to use a lower resolution mode in its place.

(The numbers come from IPP, which CUPS is based on...)
