[cups] How do I enable the socket backend?

Hello friends,

How do I enable the socket backend?  It appears to have been 
disabled when upgrading to Debian 12 (aka bookwork).  `lpinfo -v` 
does not list it as an option, meanwhile I do see
/usr/lib/cups/backend-available/socket.
