Printer type hl1250 in Ghostscript

According to www.linuxprinting.org (it's excellent!) the printer type
hl1250 is right for the Brother HL-1250, and History6.html in the
installation for gs 7.04 certainly refers to a contributed printer driver
for this printer (in contrib.mak, version 1.9, 27/04/00).

Unfortunately, in my installation of ghostscript (ghostscript-7.04 etc), I
can find no trace of the hl1250! (Here contrib.mak is version 1.24,
07/04/01).

In case it matters, I have the AFPL version of Ghostscript. For what it's
worth, I can see no trace of the hl1250 in version 1.6 either:
    	http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-
bin/viewcvs.cgi/ghostscript/gs/src/contrib.mak?rev=1.6&content-
type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup

So my question is this: is HL-1250 support in Ghostscript a phantom of the
documentors' imaginations, or am I looking in completely the wrong place?
I'm presuming that the hl7x0 (HL 720 and 730) is a completely different
animal.
