Single Black Letter

G'day,

To diagnose this issue, I've used Ghostscript versions (AFPL) 7.03, (AFPL)
7.04, and (GNU) 7.05 and keep coming up with the same problem.

I have a postscript document with blue lettering.  I run it through the
'pswrite' device in order to clean it up for other ghostscript operations.
The resulting postscript renders precisely the same except for one nagging
detail -- the first letter of the document is rendered black.

Any ideas?  I can submit more information on request.
