In short:
Up to now it seems Ghostscript 9.16-rc2 works o.k.

Details:

Since last Friday I provide Ghostscript 9.16-rc2
in the openSUSE build service development project "Printing"
https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Printing
for several openSUSE and SUSE Linux Enterprise versions
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/Printing/ghostscript

Up to now I got no issue report that something does no longer
work with Ghostscript 9.16-rc2 which indicates it works o.k.

Unfortunately I am unable to tell how many users actually
downloaded and installed Ghostscript 9.16-rc2 on their
openSUSE and SUSE Linux Enterprise systems, cf.
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-packaging/2015-03/msg00050.html
so that I cannot prove that Ghostscript 9.16-rc2 really works well.
