No need to apologise!

We really, really, appreciate you testing this, you've found a load of 
cases which we had not previously thought of and (obviously) hadn't tested.

The new SAFER file access code is something we knew was likely to be 
problematic, so we're very keen for anyone to try it out and let us know if 
there are problems, we know we can't possibly have considered all the 
ramifications.

We are working on the points you've raised, there's currently a discussion 
about case insensitivity going on.
