I've pointed you to the documentation for such. But you seemed to think 
that was going to change.

In addition to which, for simple command line use, there is -dFirstPage 
and -dLastPage, as well as -dPageList.

Very, very, few people attempt to use Ghostscript interactively, but as 
I said, the tools are there.
