I was afraid that the restored code might no loger work for Ghostscript
10.05, but it seems that it actually works. I downloaded Ghostscript
10.05, installed it under $HOME/gs105, and copied pdf2dsc and pdf2dsc.ps
of gs 10.04 into respective directories $HOME/gs105/bin and
$HOME/gs105/share/ghostscript/10.05.0/lib. After adjusting PATH,
preview-latex works for me. Thus I expect the functionality of pdf2dsc
needed for preview-latex is still retained, though the future is unclear.

Anyway, I'd like to express my gratitude to Ken for taking time for us.
