Patches with a massive rendering differences

I intend to commit 2 attached patches tomorrow. Each of them causes a massive rendering difference. Are there any objections ? Currently the regressions aren't clean, but I believe that all them are either outdated baseline or open Bugzilla bugs. Only unclear thing is Jack's message to gs-regression "Re: New test file tpc2.ps" : > This file fails in pdfwrite with: > Error: /stackunderflow in --astore-- I can't reproduce it, and the patches shouldn't affect it.
