These both look good to be to go into 8.14. Please commit them to the GS_8_1X branch. Also, could you please prepare a cleaned up version of http://www.ghostscript.com/pipermail/gs-cvs/2003-December/003927.html I understand this is the fix in head for the -dTextAlphaBits=4 assert failure that is the motivation for the 8.14 release. However, the commented out 'if' clause is not up to our usual standards for stable release code. I'd really appreciate it if you'd take the time to trace through this and see why the path behavior is not set as you expect. Thanks, -r
