Hello,

I just installed GS 8.11 on Windows 2000 and noticed the following
minor flaws in the installation:

0. The installation path is STILL preset to C:\gs.
   Since Windows 95 the path should but be
   <program files>\<vendor>\<product>\ (where <program files> is to
   be read from the registry!).

1. The registry entries beneath
   [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AFPL Ghostscript\8.11]

   have an EMPTY subdirectory in their path in front of gs8.11 and
   fonts (excerpt from the uninstal.txt):

   "GS_DLL"="C:\\Programme\\AFPL\\\\gs8.11\\bin\\gsdll32.dll"
   "GS_LIB"="C:\\Programme\\AFPL\\\\gs8.11\\lib;C:\\Programme\\AFPL\\\\fonts;C:\\Programme\\AFPL\\\\gs8.11\\Resource"

2. The shell links in the start menu too have this empty subdirectory
   in their pathes (excerpt from the uninstal.txt):

   Name=D:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Startmenü\Programme\AFPL GhostScript\Ghostscript 8.11.LNK
   Path=C:\Programme\AFPL\\gs8.11\bin\gswin32.exe
   Description=Ghostscript 8.11
   Arguments="-IC:\Programme\AFPL\\gs8.11\lib;C:\Programme\AFPL\\fonts;C:\Programme\AFPL\\gs8.11\Resource"

   Name=D:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Startmenü\Programme\AFPL GhostScript\Ghostscript Readme 8.11.LNK
   Path=C:\Programme\AFPL\\gs8.11\doc\Readme.htm
   Description=Ghostscript Readme 8.11
