Hi Deri,
Most of the discussion for/against this proposal has happened in bug #64360,
some of which blurred the issue of that ticket with the issue of this one.
Over there, you wrote an excellent summary (comment #38) outlining the points
on which there was agreement and those on which there was not.
Would you mind writing a similar summary here specific to the topic of _this_
ticket? I think that would help focus the discussion for what pertains
specifically to this issue.
