[bug #68502] [mom] would like package to not produce output given empty input

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #68502 (group groff):
I don't see how it could be accomplished. With .it somehow? But the
postscript code near the top of om.tmac to instantiate square linecaps and
joins means any file processed with mom already has "input" before user input
begins.
Can you explain why anyone would need the functionality you're suggesting? If
the input is empty, why process the file? My "real-world brain" isn't coming
up with reasons.
