Unless Peter, or Deri have implemented some departure from my original
pdfmark.tmac implementation, I would not expect it to do so.  In that
implementation, and as it remains today -- see

-- the '-E' flag is prescribed to have an effect _only_ when specified
with the '.pdfhref M ...' form of the pdfhref macro call.
