1. How about you go see which ones have been updated since the last
groff release?
2. If a TeX hyphenation pattern has been updated to use UTF-8 encoding,
we have difficulty incorporating it because internally, GNU troff's
hyphenation system presumes an 8-bit character encoding.
This is one of many aspects of the code that must be reimplemented
for groff to use a wider character type internally.
