AO-ADL Tool Suite available to be downloaded (tool for the specification of aspect-oriented software architectures)

Dear colleagues,

 

We are happy to announce our tool AO-ADL Tool Suite!!!

 

AO-ADL Tool Suite is an Eclipse plug-in that provides support to define,
manipulate and reuse the specifications of aspect-oriented software
architectures with the AO-ADL language. AO-ADL is an aspect-oriented
Architecture Description Language (partially defined in the AOSD-Europe
NoE), that: 

 

(1) follows a symmetric model with components and connectors; 

(2) extends the connector element with aspectual bindings, and 

(3) allows to define parameterizable architectural templates. 

 

The main contributions of this tool suite are: 

 

(1) textual and **GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION** of AO software architectures; 

(2) specification and instantiation of **AO ARCHITECTURAL PATTERNS**, and 

(3) integration of **AO ARCHITECTURAL METRICS**.

You may be interested on using our tool if you are working on identifying
and modeling aspects at the architectural level, to represent graphically an
aspect-oriented architecture, specify aspect-oriented design patterns at
architectural level, insert/reuse architectural patterns in your application
in an aspect-oriented fashion . Also, if you are working with
aspect-oriented software product lines, you can use AO-ADL tool suite
jointly with the Hydra feature modeling tool as detailed in
http://caosd.lcc.uma.es/aoadl/currentDevelopments.htm.
