*** MODULARITY '15 ***
14th International Conference on Modularity
March 16-19, 2015
Ft. Collins, Colorado, USA
http://aosd.net/2015/
*** Call for Blue Sky Papers, Position Papers, and Industry Papers/Talks **=
*
*Papers due: December 15, 2014. *
*Notifications: January 15, 2015*
*Final papers due: February 15, 2015*
The Modularity conference is interested in papers that encourage long-term
thinking ("blue sky" papers), short position papers that discuss recent
ideas, and industry papers that discuss lessons learned or industrial
problems related to modularity of software systems. These papers are
limited to 4 pages.

*** *Blue Sky Ideas Track* ***
Following the lead of the Computing Research Association=E2=80=99s Computin=
g
Community Consortium, we invite submissions to the Blue Sky Ideas track.
The emphasis of this track is on visionary ideas, long term challenges, and
opportunities for research that are outside of the current mainstream
topics in the Modularity conference.
Submissions will be judged on the extent to which they expand the
possibilities and horizons of the field or challenge existing assumptions
prevalent in the field.
Submissions are limited to at most four (4) pages. Accepted papers will be
published in the conference proceedings companion (and in the ACM digital
library).

*** *Position Papers Track* ***
To encourage discussions about current work and problems of interest to the
community, we invite submissions to the Position Papers track. The emphasis
of this track is on clearly stated positions about either problems that
should be solved or approaches to solving these problems.
Submissions will be judged on originality and the creativity of the
problems or approaches described, as well as how compelling the paper=E2=80=
=99s
argument is.
Submissions are limited to at most four (4) pages. Accepted papers will be
published in the conference proceedings companion (and in the ACM digital
library).

*** *Industry Track* ***
To help the research community better understand the problems of industry,
we invited submissions to the Industry track. The emphasis of this track is
on clear descriptions of industrial case studies. Of most interest are
systems at very large scales that exhibit novel challenges. Papers should
describe how the approach taken in building these systems was successful
(or not), and what lessons were learned.
Submissions will be judged on the interest and broader applicability of the
ideas and lessons learned, and how clearly these are presented in the paper=
.
Submissions are limited to at most four (4) pages. Accepted papers will be
published in the conference proceedings companion (and in the ACM digital
library), unless authors request otherwise. If no paper is desired, it is
possible to submit a PowerPoint or other slide presentation with detailed
notes.
*Submission Guidelines*
All submissions must conform to both the ACM Policy on Prior Publication
and Simultaneous Submissions
<http://www.acm.org/publications/policies/sim_submissions/> and the SIGPLAN
Republication Policy
<http://www.sigplan.org/Resources/Policies/Republication>. The same paper
cannot be simultaneously submitted to other conferences or journals. In
case of doubt, please get in touch with the Program Chair.
Papers are to be submitted electronically to EasyChair
<http://www.easychair.org/>.
Please use https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=3Dmodularity15 to submi=
t
your paper. Submissions should use the SIGPLAN Proceedings Format
<http://www.sigplan.org/authorInformation.htm> using 9 point font. Please
include page numbers in your submission as this will be helpful for the
reviewers and also for you when reading their reviews. (If your submission
is written using LaTeX, please set the preprint option in the LaTeX
\documentclass command to generate page numbers.) Please also ensure that
your submission is legible when printed on a black and white printer. In
particular, please check that colors remain distinct and font sizes are
legible. Papers for these tracks are limited to 4 pages in this format.
All submitted papers are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers from all tracks
will appear in the Modularity'15 Proceedings Companion in the ACM Digital
Library.
We are still in the process of forming the various program committees for
these tracks. But if you have questions, you can write to Gary T. Leavens (
[email protected]).
