Hello, I am finishing my M.Sc. and my research was related to AOP to modularize access control concerns. I have created a library that enables developers to use the strength of annotations and XML to guide the application of aspects and specify access control requirements, and thus to separate functional from security code. The library of classes and aspects was named Zás and the project may be checked out in https://svn.ci.iscte.pt/zenida/zas-pas/trunk. You can find further information (somewhat dated) in http://ci.iscte.pt/publicacoes/artigos/ICSOFT2006.pdf. The draft of my M.Sc. is more up to date, in https://svn.ci.iscte.pt/technical-reports/trunk/CI-2006-03/ (LaTeX format). Hope this helps.
