Desired: MS in related technical field preferred. Experience Requirements: Required Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development using C or C++ in the UNIX and VxWorks environments to include: requirements formulation, preliminary and detailed design, code & unit test, and system level integration and test. Desired: Top candidates will have experience developing embedded applications for execution on airborne platforms. Specific functional areas of interest include: system level control, self-test, data acquisition, and data transfer. Prefer experience with display applications, low-level hardware control, TCP/IP, and real-time operating systems on a PowerPC/VME backplane. Familiarity with the following are a plus: Ada/Ada95 programming language, object oriented analysis and design concepts, use of Unified Modeling Language to specify software systems requirements and design, software project scheduling, and software cost estimation. Position Description: Candidates will be responsible for developing software engineering solutions either operating as the leader of a small team or working alone. The position entails all phases of software production including project planning, requirements, design, and development of control, processing, and GUI applications. Candidates will be responsible for the development of design specifications, software coding, debugging, unit testing and system level integration and testing. Development (depending on the project) may be performed in either C/C++ and targeted for an embedded system on a VxWorks/PowerPC platform, or in C/C++ or Ada95 on Solaris/SPARC Applicants selected will be subject to security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
