Recv timeout

Hi All,
Can any one help me to have timeout applied for
recv().

What I need is that when a server blocks on recv(),
then if the time
is more than  the allowed timeout limit, then the
connection must be
closed,

I am using RedHat Linux 8 and Gcc.
My server is TCp server using blocking sockets
