Please allow me to take a moment of your time, My name is Greg Le Noue. I am an recruiter in Irvine. Currently I am assisting a local client seek some key developers for their growing office. After conducting several unsuccessful searches, I ran across your website and was hoping your group may be able to assist me in finding individuals who may be interested in a F/T opportunity within a growing firm.

Job Description

 Expert Level Software Developers Only -A  developer of premier mapping and communications software for the mobile workforce management and location-based services industries, has an immediate opportunity in Irvine for a Senior Software Developer. This is a position with tremendous growth potential. We are looking for highly motivated and very experienced developers that thrive on creating and developing robust, reliable, and high-quality software products. Expert level candidates only apply.  You will have a direct impact on the design and development of the server-side of the company's core products, including existing and new location-based applications and services. You will help design solutions, make recommendations and participate in design reviews. You will translate requirements into functional specifications and schedules, and will work cooperatively and effectively with other 
 developers, product management and QA to deliver products according to specification and schedule. 

Minimum Requirements: - 5+ years hands-on development experience in a commercial software server development environment. Experience with all phases of product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, specifications, development, test, product release and sustaining engineering.- Extensive experience in C and Python programming.- Deep knowledge of SQL and RDBMSs. Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.- Deep knowledge of UNIX operating systems, including FreeBSD, Solaris, and Linux for development and basic administration.- Thorough understanding of most the following languages: PHP, Python, Perl, Javascript, bash/sh, C.- Strong working knowledge of XML, threads, and debugging practices.- Deep understanding of best practices in server application security and Internet protocols- Desire to engage in and provide project leadership over extremely challenging assignments.- Exc
 ellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong collaborative skills.- Self-managed proactive work style and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.- US Citizenship or permanent US residency required.

Other responsibilities include: - Responsible for internal and external web-based application development- Responsible for the corporate intranet and project tracking systems- Build and maintain technical project plans and timelines, and coordinate schedules to meet project needs.- Ensure that deliverable content meets the objectives that it is intended for and continuously refine standards and guidelines for improvement.- Review, evaluate, recommend and develop objectives, policies and procedures to ensure that the application systems provided are of high quality and meet the needs of the business function being serviced.

Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.- Deep knowledge of UNIX operating systems, including FreeBSD, Solaris, and Linux.- Thorough understanding of most the following languages: Java, PHP, Python, Perl, Macromedia/Flash, Javascript, DHTML, bash/sh, C.- Deep understanding of best practices in web application security.- Desire to engage in and provide project leadership over extremely challenging assignments.- Excellent verbal and written communication
  skills, strong collaborative skills, and strong aesthetic values.- Self-managed, proactive work style and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.- US Citizenship or permanent US residency required.
