    We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with a passion for improving the quality of software and desire to work in an innovative, growing company.  
   
   software products provide the user interface and desktop analysis capabilities to meet the needs of catastrophe managers and analysts in insurance markets. Companies use  software tools to capture exposure data, analyze risk for individual accounts or portfolios, monitor risk aggregates, and set business strategy.
   
  The main purpose of this job is to improve the quality of  core products. It includes but is not limited to developing software tools, unit test suites, performance tests, and evaluating vendor tools. This is not a quality assurance engineer position; instead, it is a software development position. 
   
  Specific responsibilities include:
   
    
   Develop, enhance, and run unit test programs, performance tests and unit test suites   
   Contribute to code modifications needed for improving software quality   
   Set up and run tools which check code integrity (memory usage, performance, standard conformance, etc.)   
   Collect and analyze software defect statistics to uncover clusters or trends   
   Enhance and run build integration test suites to verify key areas of product functionality   
   Integrate test suites into an automated build process   
   Evaluate and recommend the purchase of software quality improvement tools   
   Tutor other software developers in use of quality improvement tools and best practice
   
     
         Required Skills:
               
    This position requires an analytical thinker with the following skills:
   
  ·        MS in CS or equivalent with a 5 to 7 years related experience 
  ·        C++ and C# programming experience
  ·        Experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server
  ·        Object-oriented analysis and design
  ·          Experience in development of unit tests and unit test tools
  ·          Experience in performance analysis
  ·        Experience in .NET technologies an added advantage
  ·        Familiarity with Rational software, Compuware DevPartner Suite and similar tools is a plus
  ·        Must be a self-starter and be able to learn quickly in different areas.
  ·        Demonstrated communication skills, including both written and verbal.
  ·        Must assume complete ownership of tasks assigned.
  ·        Must work well with other team members and across teams, to help drive projects to on-time completion while meeting overall business objectives.
  ·        Ability to work within a disciplined software-engineering process and environment
