GUI Developer Position in the DC Metro area
Key Role:
Serve as a senior-level Visual C++ and Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) GUI and applications developer. Provide complete application development and operations and maintenance support for a client-server application with an Oracle 10g RDMS database backend in a UNIX environment. Provide expertise in user interface design and client server GUI application development, including using C++, Visual C++, MFC , PL/SQL, Pro*C, OLE, ADO, and Visual Studio and shell scripts with an Oracle 10g RDBMS. Provide expertise in defect resolution, requirements elicitation, prototyping, and change and work request estimation and implementation. Display understanding of the Rational suite of products, including Clearcase, Rose, and Clearquest. This position can be located in New Carrollton, MD or McLean, VA.
 
Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with Visual C++, MFC, OLE,  and ADO GUI application development and deployment support
-5+ years of experience with writing and tuning PL/SQL and Pro*C in an Oracle 10g RDBMS
-5+ years of experience with SDLC supporting high-profile and mission-critical production applications
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
 
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with packages, stored procedures and functions, SQL Loader, Pro*C, Perl, Triggers, PL/SQL, and the integration of third-party libraries
-Experience with migrating and upgrading from Oracle reports
-Experience with writing and debugging complex queries
-Knowledge of common Web technologies or of migrating client server applications to the Web
-Knowledge of Oracle Warehouse Builder and data warehousing concepts
-Knowledge of UNIX environments
-Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimum supervision
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
