    * Management oversight and allocation of workload for team including mo=
nitoring progress on projects and operational tasks.=20

    * Interface with business groups to understand needs, and assign resour=
ces based on skills, availability and time allotment.=20

    * Cross functional communication and coordination across a highly matri=
xed IT organization.=20

    * Project coordination including assignment of technical resources, ove=
rsight of technical solutions, reporting project status.=20

    * Perform Performance reviews including creation of management action p=
lans for managing performance and training plans to align skills with techn=
ical infrastructure.=20

    * Participate in the project estimation and budgeting processes.=20

Technical Responsibilities:

    * Accountability for secure, stable, and recoverable operation of 186 A=
IX Unix (pSeries) servers, 2 HP-UX servers, 32 Linux servers, 6 AS/400 (iSe=
ries) servers and SAN storage devices.=20

    * Ensure compliance with PCI and SOX security adherence within support =
and project work execution.=20
=20=20
    * Establish enterprise standards and ensure conformance with all soluti=
ons developed by the engineering staff.=20

    * Technical and architectural leadership for a team of highly skilled e=
ngineers responsible for the AIX and HP Unix, Redhat Linux, and AS/400 plat=
form across the enterprise.=20

    * Establish and maintain an inventory configuration database for platfo=
rm patching strategy and risk assessment=20
=20=20
    * Establish root cause analysis process to reduce repeat support reques=
ts resulting in overall reduction in support hours.=20

    * Design and develop single sign-on process for Unix, Linux and AS/400 =
account access.=20
=20=20
    * Identify opportunity to recover 5-10% of non or under utilized assets=
 within enterprise infrastructure.=20

    * Maintain and verify all data center assets are under appropriate main=
tenance agreements.=20
=20=20
    * Design and develop standard OS image build for each enterprise platfo=
rm technology.=20
=20=20
    * Reduce risk and cost by migrating antiquated hardware and software te=
chnologies to current supported platforms.=20
=20=20
    * Ensure process is established to verify enterprise wide system backup=
 and recovery.=20
=20=20
    * Establish a 6 month forecast for capacity planning of all platform se=
rvers and storage.=20
=20=20
    * Assure all implemented solutions are made fully operational and secur=
e leveraging the Borders standard Data Center, SOC, and Service Desk organi=
zations, tools and processes.=20

    * Develop templates and assure engineering staff compliance in the crea=
tion of technical standards, solution design documentation and operating pr=
ocedures.=20

    * 24x7 on-call for technical engineering platforms=20
=20
Qualifications

    * Significant and demonstrable experience leading development, deployme=
nt and operations of data center infrastructure.=20

    * Strong organizational, project management and communication skills.=20
=20=20
    * Demonstrable track record working in a leadership role in a large ent=
erprise with the ability to motivate and lead resources.=20
=20=20
    * Ability to appropriately escalate issues when required.=20
=20=20
    * Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities=20
=20=20
    * Bachelor=92s degree in computer science or related field or equivalen=
t work experience.=20
=20=20
    * 5+ years hands on experience installing, configuring, and trouble sho=
oting complex enterprise class computer systems.=20

    * 5+ years experience leading IT technical professionals, at least 3 ye=
ars of which is specific to infrastructure.=20

    * Strong knowledge of AIX and Linux technologies.=20

    * Knowledge implementing and maintaining enterprise storage solutions=20

    * Strong background in problem solving and systems troubleshooting.=20
