Position Summary=20
    * Develop and build in-vehicle prototypes of intelligent transportation=
 systems ideas (applications)=20
    * This may include: prototype hardware and software development; softwa=
re implementation of wireless, wired, phone, or internet communication prot=
ocols=20
    * Contribute in creation of intelligent transportation systems ideas=20
    * Test prototypes and document results=20
    * Demonstrate prototypes internally and externally=20
    * Document prototype design and performance to guide mass-production re=
quirements specification=20
    * Stay current with latest tools and technical innovations in related i=
ndustries and academia=20
    * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written (report examp=
les would be useful)=20
    * Demonstrated inventiveness (must provide examples)=20
    * Does not mind working on new and diverse things as opposed to develop=
ing perfection in one area=20
    * Able and eager to quickly learn in all these ways: by searching, read=
ing, example, trial and error=20

    * Educated in a combination of multiple disciplines=20
    * A higher-level degree is not required, but it is not a detriment and =
could be a beneficial deciding factor in otherwise equally qualified candid=

Required Experience/Knowledge (Ideally experience, but even knowledge may b=
e enough)=20
    * All of the following:=20
        * Computer programming in more than one language=20
        * Computer programming with a compiled language=20
        * General engineering experimental and analytical skills using comm=
on tools (Matlab or even Excel).  For example, designing a test and perform=
ing calculations on the resulting large data set in order to verify a hypot=

    * Using Windows operating systems=20
    * Using Linux-inspired operating systems=20
