DDD Practice, system to implement

Next week Software Craftsmanship group organises a free, introductory,
hands-on workshop on DDD [1]. Our idea is to implement some use
cases/stories of an imaginary system, doing some modelling, exercising the
ubiquitous language and applying tactical patterns.

Our first idea is to take some user stories from the DDD sample project
(shipping system) as the workshop basis.

If anybody conducted a similar workshop and had a better approach, any
suggestion is welcomed. We don't have much experience on DDD.
