Vaadin has worked well for us:
- your UI is composed on the java class level instead of html / js
- each widget (in essence just a jar in your project) communicates with its
data backend using rest/ws/whatever. Difference to above approach is that t=
he
communication to the data backend happens from the server instead of the
client, since that is where the widget really lives.
