This Group (was Re: Current Information)

Brian, yeah, I was really hoping that would happen too. 

Jap, I agree that the Refactoring, TDD, and DDD groups are close, but I 
was kind of hoping this one would be a little different.  When I teach 
work with legacy code work, I always show a slide that shows cell 
mitosis and show how we can see parallels when classes grow too large.  
It is kind of geeky, but I like the metaphor and I feel there is 
something to it.

Right now, I'm at UML/Design World 2005 amongst hard core modelers and 
as I much as I respect their good intentions, you just don't find talk 
about software evolution in this crowd.  It's not part of their 
mindset.  Is the biological metaphor necessary?  Obviously it isn't, but 
I can't help but feel that it is valuable.
