OK.  Please make your case.  Why, in your opinion, is outsourcing /
offshoring a business' IT in the best interests of the business' development
/ maintenance of its long-term competitive position in its market.

I know some of the problems outsourcing purports to "solve."  Culture clash
and cost are the primary ones.  I assume there are others.

Yes.  In fact, I have extended invitations to some Six Sigma folks to help
with the discussion we started a bit back on whether / to what extent XP's
estimating / planning practices would find support in Six Sigma's practices.
The moderator of a Six Sigma list joined the XC list several days ago.  He
is not participating and has not responded to my back-channel email asking
if he is ready to.  I am concerned.
