Planning game allows them to relate what they want to do to what they /can/ do, and to allocate their work in alignment with what they can accomplish, to maximum perceived value. Princples of effective communication will focus less on things like memos and more on things like being with people and forging agreement. Simplicity will focus on reducing the overhead of work and life. Feedback will focus on finding out earlier how things are going, so that there will be fewer fires, many, if not most of which are due to situations let go too long.
