I just replied to Charlie on this but I'll ask you too.  I've never heard of
the practice of story points being expressed in dollars.  As you pointed
out, EVMS deals in dollars.  I suppose one could make the conversion ex post
facto from time to dollars, but my limited experience is that an EVMS
approach also assumes up front determination / assignment of value.  Maybe
Glen will chime in here soon.  He works with this stuff day-in, day-out.
